There's No Place Like Home With Family

Good morning,

These images are from last Sunday morning's brunch.  Aunt Carol, Catherine's friend Bill, Son Don and his wife and six children were all here.
There were so many hot dishes on the table that we couldn't pass so we all moved around the table filling plates for the kids, each other, and ourselves.
We had a total of thirteen people so the younger set had their own private table.  ;)
I snapped these pictures as people were serving and digging in.  Wow, this was a great meal.  Catherine made most of it with the exception of the potato casserole in the center made by Aunt Carol...

...and the braided bread made by me.  The recipe and instructions for my bread are here in two parts:  Part 1 and Part 2.
Catherine also made Norwegian Waffles with cherries topping, bacon, ham...
...french toast casserole with peaches, and so much more.  My goodness that was good!

Thank you, Catherine!

Aren't family meals wonderful!

Enjoy,
Lois

  5. Family is what it is all about. The gathering could be a Norman Rockwell painting.

  11. You are so right, Lois. Getting all the family together to share a meal is such a wholesome, quality activity that binds its members together and provides lovely memories.
Your wonderful photos of what looks like a delicious selection of food and very happy people are evidence of this.

  14. I did NOT need to see this post...I have held off eating today cause I am in the process of mowing our little yard...knew I did not need to eat and then get this hot. But, oh, this all looks so yummy.
