Here we are nearing the end of the month again so it's time for another needlework update of items I've finished since last months' update. Some of these items I made while still at sea, some I've finished since I got home.
This is another card holder. Business cards and credit cards fit in it nicely. It is very handy to have on board the ship when you don't want to carry a purse, but need to have your SeaPass (on board identification and charge card) with you.
These are neck warmers that I made for a dear friend. I have them in my shop, too.
This is a "Circles and Squares" lap or baby blanket. This is an item I restocked in the shop. The last one was sold at Christmas so it's about time to get another one in the store.
These are luggage identifiers. It was time to restock the store for these, too.
Cupcakes, anyone? These are zero calorie crocheted cupcakes all wrapped up to give as a gift. :)
This is an adult size patchwork sweater inspired by the Cat in the Hat movie. This sweater matches those for children and dolls and is available in the shop where I can't seem to keep these stocked. I'll have to get to work and make a few more for Fall.
Here is something new! Fingerless gloves so you can stay warm and still text, type, or make phone calls. This pair is in the store. I'll surely make a pair of these for myself, too!
These are double thick, large size cotton pot holders/hot pads. I have sets of these that I use at home and I LOVE them for reaching into the oven for pans of bread as well as for hot pads on the table. I made one set for the man who so nicely makes waffle cakes for everyone every week and put another set in the shop.
This is a super soft and warm crocheted hat that rolls up to fit in your pocket. You can fold the bottom up to make a brim or wear it pulled down over your ears. It makes a perfect chemo cap, too.
This is a special order shawl that has already been delivered. It is in shades of black, grey, and white and is so soft to the touch. I plan to make a similar one for the store as soon as I get the current project, a sweater, finished.
And, one more image. This is gloriously beautiful hand spun and hand dyed wool yarn that was a gift from a friend who knows how much I appreciate it. I'm not quite sure how I will use it yet, but I am sure I will be wearing this in the Fall.
The sweaters for Aunt Carol (brown sweater) and our friend Erica (blue sweater) that I featured in last month's needlework update fit perfectly! I'm so delighted. There was some size guessing to make the surprise gifts. ;) I couldn't say who the sweaters were for in last month's needlework update because they may have seen them before I could bring them home and give them as gifts.
So, that's that I've been doing for the past month. Have you been busy with hooks and needles, too?
All the best,
Lois
