Makers Mark Distillery - Part 3 of 4

Good morning,

We are still at Makers Mark Distillery today.  ;)  It's a great place to be!

These images are of the bottling part of the plant.  We saw the production slightly out of order so we had a shorter distance to walk between the buildings.  Tomorrow we will see the aging barrels.
The high tech equipment wasn't running while we were there.
This is where all Makers Mark Bourbon is bottled.

 Bottle caps added, then dipping in wax is done here.


 We had to stay behind the red line, but we were able to get quite close to the production line to take pictures.

 The boxed bottles are then moved out the back door on skids to be loaded on trucks and delivered to stores.

Tomorrow we will see the aging process that is out of order for the picture sequence, but the order in which our tour was given.  Ah, yes, the huge barrels full of Makers Mark.  We also had a tasting and gift shop stop at the end of our tour.

    this is definitely one part of the process you don't think about too much with bourbon or aged alcohol. the stainless steel part of processing it.
