Furniture Delivery

Good morning,

Here comes the new furniture we ordered a couple of weeks ago.
It's amazing to see how these guys can move this stuff.  Yes, I know it's their job so they know about these things, but these things are so darned heavy!
 Put it right here, please...
...and the table, as much as I love it, will be moving to our son's new home.
There's one of the two new side chairs on the walk and another love seat being unloaded from the truck.
These didn't look so big in the store!
 Nice!
This image was taken a couple of days later after we had taken the old coffee table to our son's new home.  Our new coffee table is a bit smaller and has a display case built in.  The new love seats are a bit bigger than the old ones, so the smaller coffee table makes the whole arrangement center well in front of the fireplace.

Now to get more of the items put away that were moved for the painting and carpeting adventure.

Home Sweet Home!

Does anyone else hate to do this, but love it when it is finished?

Lois

  2. How exciting! Your fresh "new" room looks lovely. I have to say I wouldn't even mind the process if someone else did it for me. :-) Painting myself is... not my favorite task.

  5. It's always so much fun to get new "stuff"! Have to say I like the new coffe table better than the old one. Our coffee table in the family room has display case and we really like it. Now your all ready to plop down on a cold winter's night curled up with a good book, a nice roaring fire and a cup of hot something! Of course, I can wait for the cold winter nights...hate the thoughts of winter coming!...debbie

  6. How fun to get some new furniture :-) We got a new coffee table a few weeks ago.....a small change made a big difference in the room. I'm with you. All that moving around takes more time than you would think, and figuring out where everything goes, and goes back to, isn't always fun......until its done :-). Your furniture looks great :-)

  7. The furniture size seems to fit the room size perfectly. Our stuff went through five kids or five kids went through it. LOL

And it always seemed too big for the room size. Since the kids left home, ages ago, the furniture could be downsized and will be - one of these days.

  11. Awesome! I love the new furniture. It looks as if you have a very cozy room indeed. I love to buy new furniture but it takes me forever to decide on what I want, what color, size, etc. Its fun to have a project to do but even better when its all done!

  13. A lot of work, but it's well worth it when you get done. I can see that spot on a winter's evening with a crackling fire, curled up with a good book and a favorite beverage or enjoying a cozy chat with friends. You did good!!
