Hollywood Dinner

Good morning,

Our daughter and a friend took us out to dinner at the Hollywood Casino.  Although I didn't get pictures inside the casino since I think they are kind of funny about that sort of thing, I think the place from the outside and the lobby are pretty nice.
According to our GPS, we are now on a private road between the sign on the highway and the casino.
The complex includes a huge parking area...
...and hotel.  The gambling used to only be on a riverboat, but Indiana changed the law so the boats don't have to go cruising on the river for the gambling to happen.
The lobby is the usual casino colors of red and purple and gold and red and purple and gold and....  ;)
Circular staircases...
...and fancy ceilings give us the idea there might be big money here.
The big money is probably what is left here!

Seriously, we had a lovely dinner (Thank you, Catherine) and then spent a few dollars in the slots after dinner.  I put in $20 and took home $3.23.  That was fine with me.  My limit is $20 so I figure I came out ahead.  I was entertained for about three hours for $16.77.  Pretty reasonable by any standards.

Family fun, right?

Enjoy,
Lois

  1. Pleased that you enjoyed your dinner at the casino. You were good only taking $20 and still coming home with change. I have been following your cruise but not commenting much. Life here is hectic at the moment and the weather is so hot.

  6. That ceiling is gorgeous! I do the same thing with the slots (the three times I've played them). I usually spend $10 to $20 and NEVER come out ahead. You sort of expect that, though.

  7. One of my daughters and her partner go there or when it was on the river. They have both won some big bucks and the IRS took their share before they left the boat.

  8. Beautiful! They sure go all out on the construction and eye appeal of those casinos.

  9. That is an attractive casino. We have some nice ones here in Oklahoma but they are ruined because they allow smoking and so they stink to high heaven.

You are my kind of gambler.
