The Schooner Bar is one of the original venues aboard Royal Caribbean ships.
It has always been placed in a "pass-through" area of the ship where you feel you want to sit down and relax for awhile.
More recently, it has become the place where you can participate in games of trivia with the cruise staff.
This image was taken in the forward lobby area of the ship. Deck 4, the lower deck pictured, is the Schooner Bar, (closest and mostly to the left behind the stairway, and entrance to the Casino Royale beyond. Up the twin stairways is the Royal Promenade on Deck 5.
So, I have now completed my tour of Decks 5 and 4. The ship is gorgeous and there is so much to do here. Tomorrow I will take my camera to the children's area on the pool deck.
Enjoy!
Lois

Those first two pictures - that what I like. A whole ship of polished wood! It has character.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your cruise. I love all the pictures. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeletei'm with deere driver - i prefer the woods over glass and brass any day!
ReplyDeleteHey! I am catching-up on your blog. It looks like you are having the time of your life!!!
ReplyDeleteAll the pictures you show from the ship is great! Thank you for the 17. mai greeting. We had a nice traditional celebration with watching the children's parade and some good food. So there was not enough Norwegians on board to make a 17. mai parade? We are joking about that if there are more than 10 Norwegians gathered some where in the world, they are making a 17. mai celebration. We saw a lot of video views on TV from places all around the world, like from India where an elephant decorated with Norwegian flags where leading the parade.
ReplyDeleteThat model of the schooner was great. Would like to see it close up. RCCL has spared no details in the decorating of that ship.
ReplyDeleteIt seems Freedom of the Seas...just glistens and shines all the time, Lois. It has now rained 19 days out of 24, back here in Cincinnati! I can hardly blog for the severe storms passing through, 3 in the last 28 hours! I may go with you next time!
ReplyDeleteGood morning,
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun to take pictures of Freedom because there are so many places to aim my camera.
Wanda, when you're ready to cruise I hope we are here so we can rondevouz and have a coffee or glass of wine together. :) Let me know in advance if you plan to cruise.
Nice to hear from you, Martha! I have plenty more pictures to come, especially some great ones from Grand Cayman. ;)
No, Marit, no celebrations for 17 Mai here. Our Sons of Norway group at home always has a great day together including food and the children's parade. We missed it this year, but will probably be there to enjoy next year.
Thank you, everyone, for stopping by and for your very kind comments.
Best,
Lois
