Dancing Duck

Good morning,

This series of images is more from our trip to Eden Park and images published yesterday.
While walking near Mirror Lake, I saw a couple of Canada Geese and started in that direction to get come pictures.
I was immediately distracted by this male Mallard performing a water ballet.
He was doing some searching for food and some preening...
...but would stop every once in awhile to be sure...
 ...I was still watching him.
He would then strike another pose...
...while I stood there clicking away...
...to get more than 50 images.
About the time my battery died...
...and I was ready to move on and use my baby camera for awhile...
 ...he made some final...
 ...pirouettes...
 ...made a few more splashes...
 and took...
 ...one more dive...
 ...splash...
 ...and his final bow.

Such fun to watch.

Lois
