Here's an image of Festival Place at the Port of Nassau. When you arrive in Nassau via cruise ship, you must go through this building to get into the city. Of course, the building is packed with little shops where you can spend your money before you even get away from the port. :)
Above is an image of the famous Atlantis on Paradise Island. It's a hotel, entertainment, casino, and shopping center that is worth the time to visit. I've been there several times and will do so again when our daughter and a friend cruise with us soon.
Ah, vacation spots....
Very best,
Lois

ReplyDeleteWe went to Nassau for our honeymoon. The Carribean is SO beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to the Bahamas, but looks like a nice place to visit. I think all the spots where cruise ships stop are really set up to separate you from your money. We went on one shore excursion in Mexico where the bus stopped at a mega-jewelry store for an hour. We paid to go see Mexican ruins, not buy jewelry, so it was a bit annoying. You just have to go with the flow though, so we spent a bit of time just sitting in the sun.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ladies,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very beautiful here. I often say my camera will run out of blue for the sea and the sky. Blue is my favorite color and I just can't get enough of it.
You are so right about separating money from tourists. We avoid tours as much as possible, but sometimes when in a port you haven't visited before that is the best way to find your way around without spending too much time.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
