We love Gravlaks here. It's a Norwegian treat made of raw salmon cured in alcohol. We like cognac the best, but Norwegian Aquavit is also good.

After preparation, here it is served a few days later. I didn't get a shot of the serving plate before much of it was gone. :) Scrambled eggs are an important part of the meal.Catherine made the sauce.And, I made the bread.

Lois, salmon is one of our favorite fish and reading this post reminded me that It’s been a while since I have enjoyed lox and bagels. I have never sampled it prepared this way, but did watch a sequence about the prep on America’s Test Kitchen. Thanks for your comment on my 603 post and it was interesting to find out about the number or lack of area codes in various states.
