Pretty Blonds Sun Bathing on National Dog Day

 Good morning,

Kjell sent me today's images.  Elsa (top) and Lily went outside with Daddy and immediately went out in the sun to catch some rays.

They didn't stay there long, though!  It's hot here!

We go outside with our pups and enjoy patio time while they roam the yard and garden.  It is so hot this week, that as soon as they have done what they need to do, we bring them in.

Such pretty girls!

All the best,

Lois

  1. Sorry if I've missed something, or if I'm being intrusive, but where is sweet Wendy? Sending good thoughts....

  3. Delighted to read this! We have an incorrigible five and a half year old black Lab X Pointer, so I take particular pleasure in following your canine family : )

Wishing all of you good health and cooler weather!

  5. Awww...such sweet girls. Our golden hasn't been outside much this week. My husband took him swimming at the lake early this morning. It's too hot for much of anything.

  6. Hi all, I had to re post this comment because I mixed up Lily'a and Elsa's names in one of the sentences. Hopefully, this will make more sense:

    Hi Kim,

Thank you for asking about Wendy and for your positive thoughts. Both Wendy and our elder statesman, Erik, are fine. I'll be featuring them on the blog tomorrow. Kjell took pictures of them earlier today while I was still upstairs working on the shop.

Wendy is recovering nicely from surgery on her ear. It looks very good. Both she and Erik stay out of the "playful puppy" areas. I don't blame them! Elsa and Lily play zoomies often and older pups tend to be knocked down or at least bumped into if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Catherine has both Elsa and Lily at the dog club for agility trials. Elsa participates in the trials and Lily goes along to get used to being there. Lily's bone structure isn't ready for agility training. They both enjoy all the attention. While Elsa and Lily are gone at the club this weekend, we are able to give extra attention to Wendy and Erik.

    All the best,
    Lois
