Under all that ice in that box you'll find 50 pounds of chicken necks.
These are part of the raw diet our three pups enjoy. Our friend, Bill, picked up the box of chicken necks for us and Kjell is "packing them down" in smaller plastic containers so I can put them in the basement freezer to be thawed and fed to the pups as needed.
Of course, Kjell had lots of help and advice while packing down those necks. ;)
Happy Weekend!

I think they want them now!
ReplyDelete"If we stand here long enough, he won't be able to resist our cute face."
ReplyDeleteYou are both right, Rose and Sherry! Kjell gave them each a back with neck attached. Generally, they get either a back or neck every day. This was a bonus day for the kids! ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess the bones are small enough the don't do harm?!!
ReplyDeleteYes, Anni, the bones are safe for the dogs. Our dogs have had nothing but raw diet since we brought them home as puppies and they are all healthy and live longer than average for their breed.
ReplyDeleteRegarding raw diet, think of what the dogs (and wolves) would eat in the wild. They'd love to catch a chicken, bunny, bird, or other small creature and devour it for a good meal. They don't stop to cook it first. ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I love visiting your blog, too!

The doggies look happy about it. I wouldn't be happy about handling chicken necks though...
