Kjell, Catherine, and I managed to stay awake until 12:09 this morning to welcome in the New Year, but the pups didn't make it. They all were tuckered out around their normal bedtime of 10 PM. Our friend, Carol, left well before Midnight to avoid possibly-impaired drivers later.
Are the countdown shows on Times Square getting crazier and crazier or are we just getting older.... We turned on the Time Square coverage for a few minutes last night, couldn't "get into" the craziness, then watched a movie until we could tell each other Happy New Year.
After a lovely dinner prepared by Catherine for us all, we are very happy we stayed home and celebrated the New Year with our pups.
