Good morning,
On the Fourth of July we attended the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra's Red, White, and Boom concert at Riverbend.
I snapped the picture above of the lawn behind the pavilion as we were going to our seats inside. We arrived about 45 minutes ahead of concert time and the facility was filling up fast.
Here the orchestra is seated and most of the audience, wearing red, white, and blue, has arrived. We were fortunate that the two choice seats in front of us remained empty throughout the concert. I remember them being sold when I selected our seats on line several months ago.
Here we go! The concert was fabulous, as always. Our conductor, John Morris Russell, had huge shoes to fill when our beloved Erich Kunzel (1935-2009) died. JMR is now in full command and loved by Pops audiences.
We are so very fortunate to live in Cincinnati where we have wonderful world-class entertainment, universities, and medical facilities.
Our daughter Catherine, friend Erica, Kjell, and I had a fabulous evening at the Pops. We hope your Independence Day was safe and fun, too!
Lois
Looks like a good time!
