Look carefully and you'll see three lizards in this image.
These critters are not native to our area. A Cincinnati resident brought some back from Italy many years ago and the lizards flourished here. They eat insects and don't seem to cause any problems.

We have similar in our house. They poop on the ceiling and it sticks. Our doors and windows are open most of the time, and there's not much we can do about it. Except clean up...
