High Seas Rally and Lee Greenwood

Good morning,

I took a whole lot of pictures during the High Seas Rally last month aboard Freedom of the Seas and I'm going to share quite a few of them with you today.  The image above was taken while people were streaming into the Arcadia Theater for the Lee Greenwood concert.  The gentleman in the uniform above was a part of the Presentation of Colors.
The theater is huge.  The picture above is of the first floor;  there is a balcony above.
You can enjoy a drink with the show and many people did just that.
Lee Greenwood is one of the most patriotic country music artists I know.  You've surely heard his song, "I'm Proud to be an American" with the catch line "God Bless the U.S.A."
The fellow above was the MC for the evening and finally, after a very long introduction...
 ... is Lee Greenwood himself.
He played and sang eight or nine songs and received riotous applause for each one.
I took these pictures from way up in the back of the first floor.  My little Canon PowerShot with 20x zoom camera did an excellent job!

The final number of the evening was "God Bless the USA" and the audience rose to its feet.

Lee Greenwood gives of his time entertaining the troops and promotes charities that help veterans with housing.  There is more information about him here on his official web site:  Lee Greenwood.  My Honey and I were very pleased to meet him and his lovely wife, Kimberly, the former Miss Tennessee during a private party on board Freedom of the Seas.  They are classy people who love our country and are not afraid to show it.  If you get a chance to see and hear Lee Greenwood in concert, by all means, don't miss it!

Enjoy,
Lois

  1. Looks very entertaining.
When you said "High Seas Rally" my first thought was that the seas were rough and there was a special show to take peoples minds off the rough seas. I was thinking "How rough can it get?"
