Viera Wetlands at Melbourne, Florida

Good morning,

We have made it a practice to spend a day in Melbourne, Florida, on our way to Port Canaveral and to Freedom of the Seas. 
Today's images were taken at Viera Wetlands where we always find so many beautiful creatures to photograph.

 This fellow appeared to be on guard duty.  :)

We absolutely love this place.  I'll be sharing a few more images from here before we return to Freedom of the Seas.

    i always love when you and kjell post from this place. one of my blogger pals lives nearby and shoots here often. just an amazing array of birdlife there!

    Hi Lois...I can't believe how fast time passes, your of to sea again!!
    Your short visit there before you leave is has a lovely place there at the Viera Wetland to get some very nice bird life shot's !
    I like the Heron setting high on the post : )

    I love seeing the photos you take at Viera Wetlands! So many birds that I can never even get remotely close to. I enjoyed these a lot!!

    Yes, we had bad weather this afternoon, high winds, threat of tornadoes. It all happened before we sailed. It's pretty calm now. :)
