Fall Colors at Spring Grove Cemetery

Good morning,

A few days ago My Honey and I went on a photo safari very close to home to Spring Grove Cemetery.
The Fall colors we found there were so spectacular that we both stuffed our cameras with glorious images.
Spring Grove Cemetery is the second largest in the USA, second only to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
This tree was just so pretty and the lighting was perfect.
Here's another beauty.  This one reminds me of a giant bouquet of flowers.
We weren't alone so there were cars here and there as we took pictures. We saw a walking tour group in the cemetery being shown  the different types of trees planted here.
I have many, many more gorgeous images that I'll share in days to come.

Enjoy!

Lois

  2. Hi Lois,
I have been taking some lovely photos of the trees in autumn colours. Must get them posted. I think they look lovely at this time of the year. The ones with the water reflections are great.

  4. Looks like you're going to have some great color this year. Ours peaked last year in mid-December (I know that sounds late but we're practically subtropical here!) and I'm anxiously awaiting. We have a few tips of yellow and red but not too much thus far.

  5. ...pretty! I'm going to have to get down there one of these days. After last night's rain, the leaves may be down, though!

  8. I've found that cemeteries have some of the most beautiful foliage in the fall.

Lovely captures and thanks so much for sharing with YSB this week.

You captured some really beautiful fall foliage.

I met my husband on a blind date. That night we walked through a cemetery. :)

  14. Gorgeous scenes Lois. This time of year [for me it's Halloween and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow] makes me want to get out and walk the cemeteries.

  17. Fall colors reflected in water are the best, Lois. Sadly I did not capture any fall colors this year, but there's still time, I hope. And, while I like anchovies, prefer them already filleted and canned.
