Southern Indiana Road Trip

Good morning,

We took a mini road trip from Southern Ohio to Southern Indiana on an absolutely gorgeous May day.
We live very close to the border of Ohio and Indiana so it doesn't take long to reach our neighboring state.
We traveled US Route 52 across Southern Indiana and past some beautiful farms and farm land.
Our destination today is Metamora, Indiana.
And, here we are.  Metamora is an old canal town that has been turned into a very pleasant tourist attraction.
This group of school children had just returned from a ride on the Benjamin Franklin, a canal boat on the Whitewater Canal.  The rail road track parallels the canal and train rides are sometimes available, but not today.
We were here to take pictures today.
The homes and businesses of this old town have been turned into gift shops and restaurants.
For more information about the tourist attractions, click here for Metamora's web site.
I'll have more images of Metamora to come.

Enjoy,
Lois
