H2O Zone - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

It is so much fun to watch the action in the H2O Zone on the pool deck.

The water is very shallow so children and their parents can play in this water park of colorful figures.
There is water for splashing, running through, and watching as the giant figures spray and spill water onto those playing below.

Of course, there are standard pools for families and just for adults, too.

    It is all beautiful! I know you are enjoying it. I wish I had you here with me--I have a crochet problem.
    Our sweet daughter-in-law wants me to crochet a cardigan from Crochet Today magazine. She is so tiny and I can follow a pattern but not smart enough to figure out how to make it smaller.
    She is in CA and I am in NC, so that is no help.

    Hi Everyone,

    Thanks so much for all of your very kind comments. While we are still out here at sea, I am not able to log into other blogs except on Sunday when we are in a US port and I am on my Verizon connection on my personal computer. Then I have enough band width to download your blogs without timing out.

    Marie, for your corchet problem, first make a sample piece of the main sweater pattern stitch. Make it with a hook a little smaller than the one listed in the directions. Make a piece at least 4" x 4", then measure and compare to see the difference with the gauge in the pattern. See if the difference multiplies out to make enough of an adjustment to make the sweater the size you want it. That's only one way you can adjust a pattern. You can also work the math to change the number of stitches, use a different size yarn, etc. Play with it for awhile and you should be able to make it just the way you want it.
