More Images from the US Air Force Museum

Good morning,

The US Air Force Museum is incredible.
Recently I showed you pictures of the park outside the museum and the gift shop and some of the displays inside the museum.
The truly incredible displays, though, are the planes.
 These are real, full size planes inside the huge hangars of the museum.
 Both of my brothers and my daughter-in-law are USAF veterans.  I remember visiting my oldest brother at various Air Force bases with my parents when I was a child.
 This is a display dedicated to the flight nurses of World War II.  As I stood and read through this tribute I marveled at the bravery of these women.
 There are some very famous planes here.
 This is a tribute to the families of the fallen who received dreaded news of the loss of their loved ones.

 These are only a few of the incredible displays.
 If you have never been to the US Air Force Museum or haven't been there lately, it's worth going out of your way to get here.

    Enjoyed this trip to the museum! I love to go to the Naval aircraft museum in Pensacola, Florida. I used to go with my dad before I lost him several years back.

    I remember seeing a lot of those when we were there in 2007. It's a mind-blowing museum.

    Mama-Bug, your comment brought back memories. I also visited the museum at the Pensacola Naval Air Station with my dad not too long before he died. He thrilled at telling me, "That's just the way it was during the war!" as we looked at different exhibits! I grew up in Pensacola and love the Blue Angels and the Air Force Thunderbirds.     You really got some decent shots...the first time I went I didn't think about my camera...and the second time I didn't think I would be able to get decent shots..next time we go, I am going to take it.

    I was born and raised in a shipbuilding town where submarines and warships are built. It is so much a part of my history that I love to visit the museum there. These places are fascinating.
