That's one of our summer dinners in that image up there. This one is pork tenderloin made on the grill, kraut, green beans, peas, potato.... There was a salad in another bowl, too. Oh, so yummy! We are having a wonderful time with the new grill that My Honey got for Father's Day.
You never know where you'll find a rubber duckie these days. Actually, this is part of a charity rubber duck race. This one is quite a bit larger than the ducks in the race. I love the shades. ;)
And, this is my pal, Clarence. He's modeling items I've put into my Etsy Store for Fall. This is a toddler size hat and scarf set.
Since we came home last month I finished this child size 4 top and some other items I had started while away. I have finally gotten these completed, photographed, and into the store. I hope everyone will stop by and browse through the store.
I have quite a few ideas for adult size sweaters, too, and will work on them when we go back to the ship next month. While we are home we are so busy with family and home that I haven't launched any larger projects.
And, here is our Penny. She is enjoying a special treat after winning even more ribbons and plaques.
This collection was earned in only one day by Penny and Erik (see the header) at an agility trial. Both Penny and Erik are canine athletes who take their performances very seriously. Of course, they have a fantastic handler, our daughter, Catherine. :) They practice during the week and compete almost every weekend. We will have to build another room on the house to display all of their ribbons and plaques.
So, that's what has been happening around here lately between road trips and other fun summer activities.
Does it seem this summer has gone by terribly fast this year?
Very best,
Lois

It is nice that the dogs have a job. All dogs need a job of some sort so says the Dog Whisperer. And the ribbons are nice but the treat seems better.
ReplyDeleteReply to your visit and my bridge...
That was so long ago, that bridge. I liked the arched one best but as nice as they were I could never seem to tear out the old pond and scale up the new pond to fit the arched bridge so I gave the bridge away and buried the pond.
Congrats to Penny, she sure is enjoying her treat. Your summer dinner looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteyour dogs are so beautiful and talented too. :)

ReplyDeleteOh that dinner looks delicious! Congratulations to your pups! We're getting a dog within the next 6 months or so, and I don't know what to expect, never having owned one. Hubs is a veteran dog owner, though, and can't wait. I agree that summer flew by. I can't believe my big boy starts his last year of preschool tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Penny, Erik and of course to Catherine.
ReplyDeleteThe summer dinner looks great.
Considered the temperature of these last days of August, summer can go away even faster for me!
ReplyDeleteYou have some real champions in your family... and a model teddy bear!
Penny must be very smart to have earned all those ribbons! How funny to see a rubber ducky atop a building. :)
