Stitch Markers from Maberga Designs

Good morning,

I just love getting beautiful things in the mail! Look at the wonderful gift I received in the mail in our latest package of mail from home.

My blog friend Lynn of Olive Knitting also has an Etsy shop, Maberga Designs.  She makes beautiful jewelry and other items from glass beads made by artisans in Murano, Venice, Italy.  Lynn is an American living with her husband in Italy and is one of the fantastic people I have met out here in blog and Etsy land.  She makes regular trips to Murano to purchase beads to make her gorgeous items.  My Honey and I have been to Venice many times and have a deep appreciation for the beautiful glass made in that area.
Just look at these gorgeous stitch markers I received from Lynn!  They are so elegant.  :)
Of course, I had to use them right away on a current project!

Stop over and see Lynn's blog Olive Knitting about her often humorous adventures of knitting, gardening, living on a hillside in Italy.  Also, stop into her Etsy shop, Maberga Designs to see her beautiful creations.

Thank you, again, Lynn!  You are so very kind.  :)

Lois

  2. Hi texwisgirl,

These markers slip along the needles with the stitches. They are slipped off to remove before binding off the knitting. There are other markers (generally plastic) that snap open and closed that can be used to mark the ends of rows to mark construction points. Those markers are just snapped open to remove.

BTW, I'm wearing my Texas t-shirt today. :) I got it when we were sailing out of Galveston aboard Splendor of the Seas. I brought it to wear when we had Texas friends on board last month. :))

    All the best,
    Lois

  5. Well, I've heard of stitch markers - used them back in my housewife days when I did a lot of knitting! But I never saw any that nice! Mine were simply colored rings
