Captain's Party Formal - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

The Captain's Cocktail Party and Introduction of Senior Officers has been a part of cruising since the beginning and aboard Freedom of the Seas, the tradition is carried on in grand style.

This is the time to enjoy all the cruise ship formal fashions while sipping a glass of champagne courtesy of the Captain.
Those who come early can get a seat at one of the restaurants on the Royal Promenade.
Although most guests take the "formal" designation to heart, some enjoy the evening in casual attire.  In addition to formal dining, casual dining is also available in some restaurants aboard the ship.
Cruise Director Graham appeared on a small balcony overlooking the Royal Promenade to introduce Captain Rob Hempstead...
...who then introduced his most senior officers.

It was a lovely party followed by an excellent dinner.

Enjoy!

Lois

  7. Good morning,

Yes, the formal party is great fun. And, Grenville, if you want to wear your overalls, be my guest. You don't have to follow that party by eating in the formal dining room. There are plenty of other dining venues where casual clothes, even your overalls and straw hat are most welcome.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone, and for your kind words.

    Best,
    Lois
