Sharks!

Good morning,

Does that guy above look scary or what?  We were close, but still quite safe when we saw this guy.
These pictures are more from our day at the Newport Aquarium. 
This is the walk-through part of the aquarium where you can feel you are actually in the water with these huge creatures.
I got a kick out of these guys.  There were four of them in the tank:  two were cleaning, two were clutching long white poles and watching for sharks.  I guess the idea was to smack the sharks if they got too close to the cleaners.  It sure looks like they all deserve hazard duty pay to me!

    Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want the job of being inside the tank with sharks!

    Nice photos of the sharks - one of our marine vistors that we certainly don't welcome close to shore
    Have to say the Melbourne Aquariun is one of my favourite places to visit as well. We have a similar water walkthroough - often wonder what would happen if it did collapse lol

    Sharks are fascinating because they have been around for such a long time in the history of planet Earth. But I prefer to be on the other side of the glass as you were. :)

    Hmm.. you would think they could move the sharks to another section of tank during cleaning time. Brave men!

    I don't think I would get in the tank with the sharks with or without an escort with a pole.

    Pretty neat place to go shark visiting! Bet all the kids love it there, and like the tunnel! My two sure would! ....debbie

    My grandson spent some time there as did my granddaughter and they were thrilled by the closeness of the fish. Lovely post.

    ...I love walking through that part of the aquarium! It's pretty cool...but I wouldn't want to be in there! :-)

    Yes, that was quite the shot of the aquarium cleaners and their security. I wouldn't want to try that!

    Cathy, Oasis of the Seas and her sister Allure of the Seas are now the world's largest cruise ships. Until the first was launched just over a year ago, Freedom of the Seas (our ship) was the world's largest. The size is just amazing.
