Cincinnati From the Other Side

 Good morning,

Above is an image of the skyline of Cincinnati, Ohio.  I took the picture from Newport, Kentucky, at Newport on the Levee on the opposite side of the Ohio River.  It is amazing how much the skyline of Cincinnati has changed.  Click here to see how the skyline looked one year ago when that tallest building was still under construction.

My father died in 1998.  At that time, the tallest buildings in the skyline were those to the left of the tallest building in this image.  Dad wouldn't recognize this now.  Quite a change.
This is the view up stream.  The closest bridge is for pedestrians only and is known as the Purple People Bridge;  the bridge beyond is known as the Big Mac bridge for obvious reasons.  :) 
This is where we were standing as we both were taking pictures.

So, for my friends who live far, far away, and even those nearby, these are pictures of our home town, Cincinnati, Ohio, on the Ohio River.

    It certainly is amazing how different the skyline is now. One building can make such a difference.

    That new skyscraper definitely dwarfs the older buildings and makes a big difference in the skyline. I love the beautiful blossoms in your header--it's definitely springtime in Cincinnati!

    Hi Everyone,

    It seems the skyline of Cincinnati changes before our eyes. Of course, going out of town for ten weeks at a time give them time to surprise us when we return. ;)
