  2. Hello Lois
    And there in the left hand corner is a version of the scarf I knitted earlier this year.
    Copy and paste this to see mine - not quite the same (flat ends versus pointy ones) but the same idea just the same lol http://stillwaters-cathy.blogspot.com/2010/06/cold-weather-comfort-knitting.html
    Take care

  3. I am not sure how you wear those boas. Just when it's cold? you just wrap them around and around? I do know Madison loves them and struts around flipping them this way and that!! lol ...debbie

  6. Hi Lois....been there to!! : }
    I have made up crafts which I thought was real clever only to find it in some craft book or magazine!!
    Cute idea..someone must have found your scarf while you was away.lol

  7. Too funny, Lois! Not so funny that the person who created the pattern for the magazine probably got a nice check for doing so.

  9. It's not often that I find a real live down to earth woman who loves to crochet. YaY! I'm bookmarking your blog!

    That scarf is so cute and I have been thinking about making a couple for our church craft fair.

  10. Good morning,

    Cathy, I took a look at your link. Yes, I remember those pointy scarves with the slide-through notch. Yours is very nice!!

    Debbie, you either wear or flaunt boas. :))) If wrapped around your neck they can keep you warm; if draped over arms and shoulders they can put a nice touch on an outfit.

    Elaine and Grenville, yep, someone probably got paid to write that pattern in the book, but I doubt paid enough to travel very far.

    Mrs. G. I'm glad you found my blog and thanks for leaving a comment.

    Thanks to everyone for stopping by.

    Very best,
    Lois
