What day is it?

Good morning,
When you are on vacation on board a cruise ship it is so easy to forget what day it is.  Who cares anyway?  As long as it isn't the day to go home, does it matter what day it is?

On Freedom of the Seas and other Royal Caribbean ships, all you have to do is get into an elevator and look at the carpet.
At the stroke of Midnight each morning...
...well, you get the idea.

On the early Royal Caribbean ships the entire elevator carpet was changed each day.  This new method appears much more efficient for the same effect.

It's these little touches that make cruising even more fun.  ;)

Very best,
Lois

  1. It's something like being retired, husband and I are always doubting (with a smile) that we know what day it is.

  5. Good morning,

Yes, the elevator carpets are a lot of fun.

Of course, we wouldn't want to miss any of the events so a daily Cruise Compass is provided with dates and times that also lists where we are! ;)

Thank you, everyone, for stopping by.

    Very best,
    Lois

  6. I could use carpets like those here on the side of the mountain! Usually, I can tell what season it is but the day of the week...it's a bit more difficult.
